What to expect from a Beauty by Stacey makeup trial

I have a lot of brides ask me, “What should I expect from your trial?” And in an effort to keep the lines of communication open, I wanted to make a dedicated page letting my future brides know exactly what will happen.

1. Bridal trials are scheduled 1-3 months before your big day. I try not to schedule a trial too far in advance because I’ve found through experience that tastes may change.

2. Bridal trials are also scheduled Tuesday through Friday during regular business hours (9:00a – 6:00p)., with weekends solely dedicated to weddings. Trials are best done during daylight hours to give you a truer idea of how your hair and/or makeup will look on your day.

3. Before the consultation day comes around, I would ideally like you to read “The Importance of Makeup Trials.” This goes over the general rules of a trial and answers questions like, “What do I need to bring?”, “How should I come?” etc. Also, a bridal questionnaire will be sent to you to fill out. This will give me a better understanding of what you are envisioning for your bridal hair and makeup. (Read here for tips on finding bridal inspiration photos.)

4. When our consultation day rolls around we will go over, in person, exactly what you want. Through showing me inspiration photos of what you want, we will customize your perfect look. With makeup I always start of light, as it’s easier to add than to take away. Before and after photos will be take of your hair and/or makeup and be used as reference photos (see #5).

And…

5. After the consultation is complete I go on my merry way and you tell your fiancé to take you out on a date 😉
